Account deletion
Delete your Homestead account
You can delete your Homestead account and its data at any time, from the app or from this page. You don’t need the app installed.
1. Delete it in the app
- Open the Homestead app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm.
The account is deleted straight away. If you are stuck on a document-signing screen or a paused-coach screen, the same option is on that screen.
2. Delete it here, without the app
We email you a 6-digit code to prove the account is yours, then delete it as soon as you confirm. Nothing else is needed.
3. Ask us by email
If the form doesn’t work for you (for example, you signed up with a phone number, or you are a coach), email admin@homestead.coach with the subject Delete my account. Send it from the email address on your account, or include the phone number on it. We may reply to check it’s really you.
We delete the account within 30 days of your request, usually within two working days, and email you when it’s done.
Coaches: coach accounts are closed by email in the same way. Tell us whether your clients’ accounts should be deleted too.
4. Cancel your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple and Google bill it, not us, so cancel it with them, ideally before you delete the account:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Homestead → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Homestead → Cancel.
5. What is deleted, and what we keep
Deleted straight away
- Your profile, name, email address, phone number and profile photo.
- Your workout and nutrition plans, and every workout, meal, cardio and supplement log.
- Health data synced from Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Check-ins, progress photos, measurements and goals.
- Messages with your coach, and your coach’s notes and tags about you.
- Documents you signed in the app, such as waivers and the PAR-Q+.
- Your subscription record and your device’s notification token.
- If you coached yourself: your own planner, protocols, notes and any custom exercises still awaiting review.
What we keep, and for how long
- Backups: our nightly database backups are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically, so your data can remain in a backup for up to 15 days. Backups are only used to recover from an outage.
- A deletion record: a security log line that an account was deleted, holding only its internal ID, with no name, email or health data.
- Shared exercises: a custom exercise you created that we already approved into the shared library stays there, with nothing linking it to you.
- Purchase history: RevenueCat, which checks in-app purchases for us, keeps its own copy. Email us and we will ask RevenueCat to delete it. Apple and Google keep their own billing records under their own policies.
Want only your health data removed, or a copy of your data first? See the privacy policy or contact support.
